The Blood of Dawnwalker will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S without a 60fps mode. A new gameplay video confirmed that the RPG will offer two graphics options on consoles when it launches on September 3.

Quality Mode will target 30fps with dynamic 4K resolution. Balanced Mode, meanwhile, will target 40fps while maintaining the same dynamic resolution. The lack of a 60fps option also applies to the PS5 Pro, despite the console offering enhanced visual quality in both available modes.

The decision has sparked reactions among fans, particularly because it leaves out an option with lower resolution and a higher frame rate. Some players have also begun speculating about a performance patch after launch, but there is no confirmation that such an update is planned.

The project is directed by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who was the director of The Witcher 3 and head of production and secondary game director on Cyberpunk 2077. The Blood of Dawnwalker is built around an RPG concept that combines freedom of exploration with a limited amount of time, elements showcased in the released gameplay footage.

The game is scheduled to launch on September 3. The PS5 Pro version will have the same 30fps and 40fps limits, along with visual enhancements in Quality and Balanced modes.
