SEGA has announced that Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will launch on Xbox Game Pass on September 10. The confirmation came during Gamescom 2026 and also includes the game's release on Xbox PC, apparently on the same date.

The information appeared in the middle of a Producer Letter published by the company. In the statement, SEGA said it is continuing to work on the Xbox PC version and that its content and features will match those available on other platforms. The company also said it will share more information about the game's arrival on the service.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage combines the Virtua Fighter 5 experience with new features. These include a new single-player campaign, rollback netcode support and cross-play, allowing players to compete against others on different platforms.

The solo mode, called World Stage, pits players against powerful rivals on a journey to become the ultimate fighter. The game also includes enhanced replay functions and improved training tools, expanding the options for those who prefer to study matches or take on online opponents.

The edition is described as an essentially definitive version of Virtua Fighter 5, which was originally associated with the Xbox 360 generation. Its addition to the Game Pass catalog places SEGA's fighting game among the titles confirmed for September.

On consoles, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage has been announced for Xbox Series X|S. The Xbox PC version remains in development and is expected to become available around the same time as the Game Pass launch. SEGA has yet to detail which editions of the service will provide access to the game or share further information about its release.
