Riders Republic arrives on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9. Ubisoft made the announcement, confirming the release date alongside the launch of an offline mode on the same day. That’s the change that will make the biggest difference on the hybrid console.Developed by Ubisoft Annecy, the game combines mountain biking, BMX, skiing, snowboarding and wingsuit flying across settings inspired by U.S. national parks. Players can explore the map freely, with challenges scattered throughout and events that bring together dozens of online participants. The Switch 2 release will include Nomad mode, which makes much of the game playable offline. Players can explore the open world, progress through the career, discover points of interest and customize their character without an internet connection. Once back online, progress made offline syncs with the cloud save. Some features still require an internet connection. Multiplayer matches, user-created events, the in-game store and seasonal progression all remain online-only.Riders Republic originally launched in 2021, built around a variety of sports and vast environments based on real-world locations, blending competition with the freedom to explore. On Switch 2, the game can also be played in handheld mode, taking it off the TV and on the go.Ubisoft has not shared the price, download size or any features exclusive to this version.
