A Red Dead Redemption 2 mod aims to make every gang encounter leave a mark. Created by nicklovin99, enRage tracks how individual NPCs feel about Arthur and builds rivalries inspired by the Nemesis System in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Some like him, others fear him, and some want him dead.

The mod gives NPCs names and organizes their relationships by faction, including the O’Driscoll Boys, the Lemoyne Raiders, the Bronte family and the Van der Linde gang. A new menu shows each faction’s hierarchy and how its members relate to the player. When a gang member dies, someone else in the group takes their place.

These rivalries are not driven solely by Arthur’s actions. enRage logs interactions between NPCs on a dedicated world page: they can adopt stray dogs, recover from alcoholism or start feuds with one another. Each character also has individual traits, such as being calm, perceptive, introverted or drunk, as well as an occupation and a religious belief—or none at all.

Those differences can spark gang wars without the player’s involvement. Arthur can take a side or fight both gangs. Provoke a gang enough, and groups of hunters will come after him.

Another page, called X-ray, shows NPCs’ skeletons and injuries; the mod’s trailer features conditions such as limping and paralysis. Players can also wound an enemy and hold them at gunpoint to demand information about another gang member.

In the description of enRage, nicklovin99 says Claude Code helped create scripts and systems. The mod is available in early access on Nexus Mods.
