SEGA has announced the second-year content for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, launching on November 3 with free additions, new DLC packs and a permanent price cut for the game.

The second year will add Bayonetta, who was previously announced, along with two more free characters linked to SEGA. The game will also receive Duel Match, a one-on-one race in which each competitor can see the items carried by their opponent, the gadgets they have equipped and the distance between them.

The mode will include an offline version against computer-controlled opponents. Defeating them all will earn a reward. The update will also add 15 new gadgets and a Grand Master Plate with a seventh equipment slot.

SEGA also confirmed a lineup of premium DLC packs for the second year. Players who purchase Season Pass 2 will receive bonuses, with the pass priced at US$29.99 or £24.99.

The price cut has already been applied to the PS Store. The standard edition has dropped from US$69.99 to US$39.99, while the price in pounds has fallen from £64.99 to £34.99. The original Digital Deluxe edition has been reduced from US$89.99 to US$59.99, and from £79.99 to £49.99.

At retail, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will receive the Year One Edition on November 3. The package includes the base game, all DLC and the updates released during the first Season Pass.

With the arrival of the second year, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will feature a new racing mode, more gadget options, additional characters and a lineup of premium content planned by SEGA.
