Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 7.1 has been officially announced, revealing its title - Crossroads - and indicating that the update will delve deeper into the events which transformed the area known as "Heritage Found". Additionally, it has been announced that patch 7.1 is expected to be released in mid-November this year, although an exact date has not yet been confirmed.

I admit that I ended up looking forward to the changes to PVP. Black Mage has been my main job there, and knowing that it's going to change a lot excites me. Regarding PVE, the return of Unreals was something which had been expected by the community for a long time.
Another highlight is how Patch 7.1 can give a perspective on what to expect from the future of Final Fantasy XIV by looking at the past: the origin of the Heritage Found could be the first step towards understanding more about the fragment in which it was located.
