In the new Pokémon Pokopia, which is a life simulation game starring Pokémon, you take on the role of a Ditto that has transformed itself to look human. Upon arriving in this world, it is clear that the land has been abandoned and is in desperate need of care. With hard work and dedication, you can restore the area and transform it into a true utopia.

During your journey, you will collect various materials and craft items to build your own home and create a cozy space to welcome many Pokémon friends.

The game map is vast and filled with activities, along with several small challenges to solve. That is why we have gathered some important tips in this guide to help you start your Pokopia adventure on the right foot and keep track of every essential detail!

Create Many Habitats and Befriend Pokémon

Whenever possible, build new habitats to attract different Pokémon. It is also worth checking each habitat regularly to ensure you have encountered all the Pokémon that can appear in that specific spot.

The game itself offers clues through tracks or via characters and Pokémon asking for help. Stay alert for these hints to grow your social network with as many Pokémon as possible, which allows for more buildings and new abilities.

Test Different Combinations to Create New Habitats

New habitats can emerge by combining different environmental elements. This might include adding more plants, placing vegetation near water, creating drier areas, or even mixing furniture with plants and other items.

Each type of habitat is unique and tends to attract specific Pokémon.

If you are patient, experiment with different combinations until you discover new habitats; the game will notify you whenever a unique habitat is created.

Also, keep an eye on the Pokémon that appear and the in-game hints regarding specific habitats.

Explore and Collect Every Item You Find

At the start of your adventure, you will only use a few resources; however, over time, basic items like wood and stone become increasingly necessary. Therefore, whenever you spot materials along the way, it is worth picking them up. Additionally, look out for "glimmers" and ripples in the water, as there could be plenty of hidden treasures there!

It is also a good idea to build several chests in an area you visit frequently, creating a central hub to store your items, preferably near a Storage Box.

Buy Bags and Organize Your Inventory

The inventory for your Ditto is quite limited at the beginning of the game. To expand it, you can purchase different Bags at the shop.

You can also automatically organize your inventory, including both your Ditto's bag and the Storage Boxes, by holding the “X” button on the Switch 2 controller. This sorts items by type, making it much easier to find what you need.

Place Storage Boxes Near Crafting Stations

Since the Ditto inventory is small, you will frequently be storing materials in Storage Boxes.

A very useful tip is to place these boxes right next to a Crafting Station. This allows the station to automatically access the items inside the Box, even if they are not in your immediate inventory.

This makes the process of creating furniture and items much more convenient.

Always Check Your Quests

New quests appear as you increase your comfort level, alongside daily tasks and special shop promotions.

These activities are usually simple and offer useful rewards. It is always worth checking the quest board and taking advantage of the interesting items featured in the daily shop.

Daily Challenges and Stamp Cards

With each new day in the game, you receive new daily quests and can record progress on your Stamp Cards.

Since these tasks are generally quick to complete, they are an excellent way to earn coins and other extra prizes throughout the game.

Talk to Pokémon Whenever Possible

Whenever you encounter a friendly Pokémon, talk to them and ask: “How is your comfort level?”

This question provides direct feedback regarding that Pokémon’s habitat. They might comment on what is missing or what could be improved, helping you understand which items to place nearby or even which ones to keep away.

This makes it much easier to boost the Pokémon's comfort and progress your island's development.

Build New Habitations and Turn Them Into Homes

Pokémon love to occupy the habitations you build, which helps increase their comfort level.

However, a building only truly becomes a home once you place at least three pieces of furniture inside it. After that, you can invite a Pokémon to follow you and assign them to the new home as their habitat.

This improves the living quality for the Pokémon and boosts their comfort.

If you forget to turn the building into a home before inviting them, they simply will not accept the move.

In-Game Time Matches the Real World

Time in Pokopia follows the real-world clock, so it is worth planning ahead when sending your Pokémon to work.

Larger constructions, such as the Pokémon Center, usually will not be finished until the next day. Because of this, it may be more efficient to start these projects before you go to sleep.

Smaller structures, such as simple shelters, take only a few hours. These can be completed during short breaks from the game.

Use Dream Islands Every Day and Find Legendaries

After unlocking Dream Islands, which requires having Drifloon and Poké Dolls, try to visit them daily to gather resources.

These islands contain exclusive items as well as common materials that remain very useful for buildings and furniture.

Choose which Island to visit wisely, as you can only access one per day, once a day.

Another important detail is that every Dream Island hides a Legendary Pokémon. Look for the tallest building on the island and explore the area beneath it until you find a cave. Once inside, venture as far as possible to locate the hidden Legendary.
