The Life is Strange narrative adventure franchise will finally get a new game.
Announced by Square Enix during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, Life is Strange: Double Exposure will be the next title in the series, featuring an unprecedented supernatural murder mystery, developed by Deck Nine Games. The game will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5® and PC consoles on October 29, 2024, and will also be released on Nintendo Switch.

“Max Caulfield, resident photographer at the prestigious Caledon University, finds her good friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Murdered. Max tries to go back to save her, but she hasn't used such a power in many years, so she ends up accidentally opening a portal to an alternative timeline where Safi is still alive and in danger! Max realizes that the person responsible for the crime intends to act again in both realities - Only Max can switch between two parallel timelines to solve and prevent the same murder. ”

Life is Strange was originally released in 2015 and became a worldwide phenomenon due to its interactivity with the player, who shapes the course of the plot with their choices, in addition to various symbolism and other narrative elements that highlighted it as a reference to player-choice based games
The franchise has the expansion Before the Storm, released in 2017, Life is Strange 2, in 2018 and Life is Strange: True Colors in 2021.
