Netflix will exclusively debut new Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage this Thursday, August 27. The footage will be part of the Grand Theft Auto 6: An Extended Look special, which will be available only on the streaming service for its first six hours.

After that period, the content will be released on YouTube and other platforms. The schedule includes release times for different regions, although the announcement did not specify the exact times.

The special arrives after a week of GTA 6 leaks, with short clips of open-world footage circulating online. The official presentation is expected to reveal more about the two protagonists, Jason and Lucia, while also offering a new high-definition look at the map.

Rockstar has increased the pace of updates on the game in recent months. In June, the studio unveiled GTA 6's cover art and, rather than releasing the third trailer shortly afterward, published a large collection of screenshots. The images revealed new details about the title and fueled speculation about the next promotional material.

More than 500 days have passed since Trailer 2 was released in May 2025. The video still displays GTA 6's previous release date, which was later changed. Rockstar also did not accompany the new presentation with the start of pre-orders or the long-awaited Trailer 3.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Netflix's special will be the first official opportunity to watch this new gameplay showcase before the video arrives on other platforms.
