Fortnite has confirmed its Kingdom Hearts collaboration, bringing Sora, the protagonist of Square Enix’s franchise, to the battle royale. The new content arrives this week and was unveiled in a short trailer shared on the game’s social media channels.In the footage, Sora is seen picking up his iconic Keyblade and posing for the camera, confirming his arrival as a Fortnite skin. The partnership adds another game series to the crossover lineup for the current season, Override.Epic Games also released text previews indicating that three other Kingdom Hearts characters will appear: Riku, Kairi and Roxas. In total, the collaboration will include at least four skins tied to the series.There is still no sign of Mickey among the announced content. The released material also did not provide details on additional items, prices or how the skins will be obtained.Kingdom Hearts joins a Fortnite season focused on video games. Override has already introduced characters and content from franchises including Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik, Crash Bandicoot and Mega Man.The current season has received a more divided response from the community than the previous one, Runners. Some players are debating the future of the Sprites, Pokémon-inspired creatures featured in the game: some want them removed, while others favor changes that would keep them in the experience.While the collaboration arrives in Fortnite, Kingdom Hearts 4 remains in development at Square Enix for PC and consoles, with a release planned for next year.
