Atmosfar, an open-world game set on an alien planet, will enter Early Access on October 29. The announcement came with a trailer featuring floating islands, airships and air taxis, offering a glimpse of the game’s exploration.Players set out to discover what happened to humanity’s last outpost. The landscape features rounded mountains, forest canopies and rock formations suspended among towering clouds.Travel will revolve around two main types of aircraft. The Utility Wasp lets players set up a foldable camp; the Cargo Wasp carries heavy scrap; and the Striker Wasp is designed to stun enemies. For longer journeys, Atmosfar will feature the Cloud Cruiser, a large mobile base equipped with landing platforms, a hangar and a common area. Up to three players can stay aboard together in co-op mode. The Wasp and Cloud Cruiser will play a central role in exploring the islands and transporting resources.Early Access will launch with two regions. Developer Apog says the game will remain in Early Access for at least nine months, though that period could be extended as new content is added.During development, the team plans to add a third and final region, a fourth Wasp variant and more building options for the Cloud Cruisers.
