Even before its release, "Grand Theft Auto VI" (GTA VI) is already breaking records and leaving fans of the franchise in high anticipation. The first official trailer, just 90 seconds long, became the most watched non-musical video in the first 24 hours on YouTube and surpassed even major Hollywood productions in terms of likes, overtaking the trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" with more than double the number.

While we anxiously await this historic launch - in fact, Take-Two confirmed GTA VI’s release for autumn 2025 - let's review the main leaks and news that promise to revolutionize the gaming industry.

Rockstar Games' new title will take players to the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by Florida, bringing back the iconic Vice City. However, this time, the map will be much larger, including other cities and unexplored areas.

The promise is a detailed and immersive environment, combining nostalgia for franchise veterans and innovation for new players.

The Game’s Story - Lucia!

The first trailer for GTA IV brought a glimpse of the protagonist Lucia and generated several speculations among fans. In some scenes, she appears wearing a prison uniform, raising doubts about the context of her story.

Rumors indicate that Lucia had a daughter, left behind during an unsuccessful robbery, which resulted in her arrest. There’s also the possibility that the game will explore a jailbreak, although this is all still speculation until Rockstar reveals more details about the narrative.

If there's one thing the gaming community loves, it's trying to find out everything about a game before it's even released. With GTA 6, this couldn't be any different! Since before the first official trailer, fans were already gathering clues, analyzing leaks and theorizing about what the map of Rockstar's new game will be like. Now, with the trailer released, speculation has become even more intense, and the pieces of this puzzle are starting to fall into place.

The strongest rumor about the map comes from a 2022 leak, which, at the time, seemed like just one of many. However, with the release of the trailer, some details of this alleged leak began to make sense – such as the shape of the islands and the bridges that appear in the images. Despite this, most of the map is still a big mystery, and we’ll only have real confirmations with new official trailers from Rockstar.

With the arrival of the trailer in 2023, the community was quick on its feet: Discord users analyzed each scene and began to reconstruct a possible GTA 6 map, crossing data with the classic GTA: Vice City and other rumors already circulating.

Of course, a lot is still speculation, but the theories keep becoming more and more solid. In the end, we’ll only know what the world of the next Grand Theft Auto will really be like when Rockstar finally reveals everything – or when we have the game in our hands. Until then, the fun part is to keep hunting for clues and trying to put together this huge puzzle!

Following the trend started in GTA V, the new game will have multiple protagonists. This time, we’ll follow Lucia and Jason, a criminal couple who promise a never-before-seen dynamic in the series.

The leaks indicate more advanced interactions between the protagonists, including exchanging items and joint strategies during missions. This evolution could bring a new level of depth to gameplay.

The trailer hints at an even more dynamic open world. The city seems teeming with life, with events happening independently of the player.

An interesting detail is the presence of a social network inspired by Instagram or TikTok within the game. This tool can influence the narrative and also create new forms of interaction between players, streamers and their audiences.

The 2022 leaks revealed significant changes to how weapons will be stored and accessed. It all points to the characters not being able to carry an unlimited arsenal, and large weapons will apparently need to be visible when carried.

Additionally, police artificial intelligence appears to have been improved, making chases and searches more realistic and challenging.

Gameplay Focused on Robberies

Even before the game's official announcement, journalist Jason Schreier, from Bloomberg, had already provided some details about the game. According to him, the new entry in the franchise would feature two protagonists, Lucia and Jason, inspired by the infamous 30s criminal couple, Bonnie and Clyde. Furthermore, Schreier mentioned that the title would have an emphasis on robberies against small and medium-sized establishments, something that would differ from the focus on big heists that marked GTA 5.

This gameplay approach refers to the store robberies available in GTA Online and would have already appeared in the 2022 leaks. In the first trailer for GTA 6, there are scenes that show Lucia and Jason committing these types of crimes, but it’s not yet clear whether this mechanic will be a central pillar of the experience. Additionally, Rockstar has yet to reveal gameplay footage from these moments.

Interior Exploration

Rockstar Games' open worlds are often praised as some of the richest and most detailed in the industry, but after the massive expansions seen in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, part of the community started asking for more explorable interiors. If the focus on robberies is confirmed, it’s natural to expect that players will be able to access several establishments. However, the expectation is that GTA 6 will also offer a greater variety of internal spaces in addition to those related to crimes.

In GTA 5, some stores and properties were available for purchase, but most of the buildings in the open world remained inaccessible. With the new generation of consoles, Rockstar can finally expand this immersion, allowing more indoor environments to be explored within the game universe.

Another major speculated news are the dynamics of destruction and rebuilding of scenarios. If a player causes damage to a certain area, it can take days or weeks within the game for everything to be redone, with teams of NPCs actively involved in the rebuilding.

There’s also been a significant increase noted in the variety of animals and biomes, such as swamps and beaches, which promises a more vivid and detailed ecosystem.

GTA Online's multiplayer changed completely with the arrival of FiveM, a mod developed by the Cfx.re studio that allowed connection to custom servers focused on the famous GTA Roleplay (GTA RP). This modality, where players take on different roles within the game universe – such as drivers, paramedics, police officers and delivery people – has become a phenomenon, especially among streamers on Twitch.

Rockstar Games caught on to the success and ended up buying the Cfx.re studio. According to rumors, the company intends to integrate Roleplay mechanics directly into GTA 6's multiplayer mode, making this experience even more accessible for players.

Recently, former Rockstar developer Mike York stated in a podcast that GTA VI would probably already be 100% playable, with the Rockstar team dedicating between eight and ten hours a day to refining the game. This type of information indicates that the launch could actually happen at the end of 2025 - as predicted, and without delays!

The situation gained even more credibility when Rockstar requested the podcast be removed from the air, reinforcing the suspicion that the information shared was accurate.

So far, GTA 6 has only been confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This means that, at least for now, there’s no release date for PS4 and Xbox One.

And the PC version? Well, anyone who plays on PC already knows how Rockstar works: first, the game comes out for consoles and, after a while, it reaches computers. There is no official date yet, but it’s almost certain that GTA 6 will eventually be released for PC.

GTA VI has everything to be a milestone in the history of video games. With an expansive world, innovative protagonists and mechanics that promise to revolutionize gameplay, the game arrives loaded with expectations. Now we just have to wait for the next trailers and, of course, the official release. If Rockstar maintains the quality standard which has distinguished them, we could be facing one of the greatest games of all time.
