Phantom Blade Zero has yet to launch, but it may have already sold more than 1 million copies, according to an estimate by Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics. The figure includes preorders on Steam, PS5 and WeGame, Tencent's PC game store in China. Developer S-Game has not released official sales figures.Elliott estimates that Steam and PS5 preorders total 850,000 copies. Sales through WeGame would bring the total to more than 1 million. Steam accounts for roughly three-quarters of the copies sold on Steam and PS5 combined. The geographic breakdown is striking, too: nearly two-thirds of all preorders appear to come from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong. Developed by Chinese studio S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero is a wuxia action game featuring martial arts film star Donnie Yen.Elliott estimates that those sales have already generated US$ 43 million in revenue, putting Phantom Blade Zero among the 40 highest-grossing games of 2026 before its release. He does not, however, expect it to match the sales of Black Myth: Wukong, which launched in 2024.The gap between the projections is considerable: Black Myth: Wukong sold 10 million copies in its first three days. Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for release on PC and PS5 in October 2026, though the source does not give an exact launch date. With information from IGN.
