Fable has received a new 18-minute gameplay video focused on a quest from Playground Games' RPG. The presentation showcases Bowerstone, taking viewers through the city's bustling streets and interiors.

The preview follows a quest called Mud and Death. In it, the Hero joins Humphry, leader of the Heroes' Guild, on a journey to a mine that was once flooded and is now haunted. The location is filled with ghosts and skeletons, setting the stage to test the character's combat options.

The video also includes encounters with bandits troubling the young Billie and with Slick Ronnie's gang. These sequences put Fable's combat in the spotlight, described as a system that blends different styles during battles.

Bowerstone is shown with vibrant colors and lighting effects that help define the look of the new gameplay showcase. The city and the mine offer two very different slices of the adventure, ranging from bustling urban areas to corridors overrun by supernatural threats.

Fable will be released on February 23, 2027, after being delayed to the new date. Playground Games is still planning the RPG as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
