A demo for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be released on October 1 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Developed by Evil Empire, the studio behind Dead Cells and The Rogue Prince of Persia, the full game is set to launch on October 14.

Anyone who downloads the demo will be able to play through the entirety of the first chapter of Rose Belmont's adventure. Progress made in this section will carry over to the final release, allowing players to continue the campaign without starting over when the game launches.

Evil Empire is targeting 60 frames per second on all platforms except Switch, where it aims for 30 FPS. The chapter included in the demo is the same one previously shown during preview sessions.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse blends classic and modern elements of action-platform games. Unlike Dead Cells, Evil Empire's involvement does not make the new project a roguelite: the game will feature carefully designed maps.

The demo offers an early opportunity to experience Rose Belmont's journey before the full release. The October release window also aligns the launch with the gothic atmosphere associated with the series.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse will be the first of several Castlevania projects planned by Konami. The company has yet to reveal what the franchise's next titles will be.
