Mortal Kombat: Every Crossover Character so far

With over 30 years, Mortal Kombat has become a reference in fighting games, with an excellent story, iconic characters and innovations in combat. As if that weren't enough, the franchise brought some crossovers with other universes, always generating a high impact, as well as new blows and fatalities.

Mortal Kombat in Sports Games

In the 90s, sports games such as NBA Jam: Tournament Edition (basketball), NFL Blitz (football) and MLB Slugfest: Loaded (baseball) allowed the use of some of the Mortal Kombat icons in these games - with some specific codes and passwords, it was possible to unlock some characters from the series!

For example, in NFL Blitz, you could enter Arcade mode and accept the option to enter a name, write “RAIDEN” and the password “3691”. Another playable character is Shinnok, by entering the name “SHINOK” (with just one “N”) next to the password “8337”.

It is also possible to make them have a bigger head, with “Big Head Mode”, on the Nintendo 64 the combination to select this mode was “Z Z Z”.

The other titles followed the same logic, providing fans with fun moments, like Scorpion using his powers in a basketball game, or just playing a baseball game against Sub-Zero.

Scorpion in Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy

Scorpion appeared as a secret character in Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.

When starting the game, still in the menu, just go to the “Extra Content” option and use the code “546546”. Then start the gameplay and select Scorpion, when the game starts, you will see the character wielding a weapon. Check out below!

Raiden in Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict

Raiden appeared as a playable character in Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, a 2005 title that was very well received by critics.

Kano in Batman: Arkham City Lockdown

Kano was part of an easter egg in Batman: Arkham City Lockdown, being one of the enemies the hero faces in the game.

Scorpion in Injustice

In more recent years, we had Scorpion in Injustice Gods Among Us, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii generation. It is possible to fight normally with the character, having his own abilities and finishing animations, which do justice to his style in Mortal Kombat.

Johnny Cage on WWE Immortals

In 2015, Johnny Cage visited the world of WWE Immortals, a mobile fighting game. His humorous style continued to be a highlight even away from the Mortal Kombat arenas.

Kratos

In December 2010, Kratos was announced as an exclusive character for PlayStation 3 players in Mortal Kombat 9, released in 2011.

Freddy Krueger became a fighter in MK 9 in August 2011. Famous for the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” movie, the killer was highly accepted for bringing fatalities and more aggressive mechanics that live up to the Mortal Kombat titles.

The first expansion of Mortal Kombat X arrived with two partnerships from other franchises: Jason Voorhees and Predator.

Predator

Predator is the protagonist of the franchise of the same name. The alien has striking characteristics, such as cutting-edge technology in addition to many weapon variants, which made him add a lot to the game, with notable fatalities.

Kombat Pack 2 brings four new characters to Mortal Kombat X, two of which are crossovers, Leatherface and Alien.

Alien

Like the Predator, Alien (Xenomorph) is another extraterrestrial that was invited to participate in Mortal Kombat. It belongs to the science fiction franchise “Alien”. The character has very agile gameplay, which pleased the public.

Leatherface

One of the greatest villains in horror films, he was a killer in the universe of “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”, and just like Jason Voorhees, Leatherface brought a terrifying and even more bloodthirsty air to the game.

MK11's first major expansion, Aftermath brought a new story and three new characters, including a collab with Robocop.

Terminator

Joker

The greatest comic book villain was also present in the franchise and was very well represented in the game, with treacherous abilities and clown characteristics, making him one of the best additions for fans.

The finishes were also pleasing, demonstrating his insane mentality and deadly “jokes”.

Rambo

This classic character not only became a fighter in Mortal Kombat but was also played by Sylvester Stallone himself, both in appearance and voice acting.

Rambo's submissions are based on his movements with the machete or bow, or also through his famous traps!

The latest in the franchise, MK 1 already promises to bring some well-known faces from pop culture to its arenas!

Omni-Man

Homelander

Coming from “The Boys”, Homelander is another superhero for the cast of fighters. The character has no scheduled release date and the future of his dubbing is also uncertain after Anthony Starr, the actor who plays him in the series, stated on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram that he will not voice him in Mortal Kombat 1.

Warner Bros. didn't disappoint and brought big names to its fighting game, all with great quality, faithful to their original representations and with great public acceptance.

Unfortunately, Homelander's future in the game is uncertain, whether he will continue to follow the company's good reputation with crossovers.
