Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It continues the story of Cal Kestis, the former Jedi Padawan introduced in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Set five years after that game, Survivor takes place in 9 BBY, while the Galactic Empire intensifies its hunt for remaining Jedi. Cameron Monaghan portrays Cal, with Debra Wilson returning as Cere Junda and Daniel Roebuck as Greez Dritus. The game launched on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on April 28, 2023. Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One arrived September 17, 2024. Cal begins with the crew of the Stinger Mantis scattered after years of resistance work. An operation on Coruscant brings him into contact with Bode Akuna, a mercenary who becomes his companion. Cal subsequently investigates the planet Koboh and encounters Greez at Pyloon's Saloon, a cantina that serves as a central hub. His search is tied to Tanalorr, a hidden world reachable through the dangerous Koboh Abyss. Jedi Master Dagan Gera, awakened from bacta by Cal, claims Tanalorr as his own and becomes a major adversary. The narrative also reunites Cal with Merrin, a Nightsister from Dathomir and former ally. Survivor expands Cal's traversal and combat options. He can wield five lightsaber stances: single blade, double-bladed, dual wield, blaster, and crossguard. The blaster stance combines a lightsaber with a firearm, while the crossguard stance uses a heavier blade with slower swings. BD-1, Cal's droid partner, returns with tools including a Koboh Grinder that sprays combustible matter and an electro dart used in environmental puzzles. Players explore Coruscant, Koboh, Jedha, Shattered Moon, and other locations. Koboh contains broad explorable areas, mounts called Nekko, and a gardening space at Pyloon's Saloon. Customization covers Cal's hair, beard, clothing, lightsaber components, and BD-1's appearance. At launch, the PC edition drew attention for performance problems, and Respawn issued patches aimed at improving stability and performance. Survivor's story culminates in Bode's betrayal: he is revealed to be a former Jedi who survived Order 66 and has been working for the Imperial Security Bureau to protect his daughter, Kata. Bode kills Eno Cordova and uses a compass to reach Tanalorr. After confronting him on Tanalorr, Cal and Merrin defeat Bode when he refuses to surrender. Cere dies during a duel with Darth Vader on Jedha, but delays Vader enough for escape. They plan a future on Tanalorr.
