Wardogs surpassed 330,000 concurrent players on the day the second season’s content launched, but the surge in popularity was accompanied by criticism. Balance issues, slow progression and bugs affecting experience gains frustrated part of the community, prompting Bulkhead Interactive to plan changes and bring the third season forward. The developer wants the game’s next phase to offer a “genuine fresh start”, with fixes for the problems identified in the current season. However, the plan is not to immediately reset everyone’s progress, as such a move could hurt players who have invested time in developing their characters. In its communication with the community, the team explained that it would not carry out a sudden reset that weekend. Instead, it is considering bringing the third season forward significantly and releasing part of its content to enable this new phase.Among the complaints, players pointed to situations that favored one team, differences in progression speed and issues that prevented them from receiving experience. The developer also acknowledged that some users were able to obtain Tier 4 armor and tanks far too quickly.Bulkhead admitted that intentionally speeding up progression and attempting to rebalance gameplay in such a short time was not the best decision. The team plans to monitor player feedback, with the community divided over various aspects of the second season, and implement fixes as needed. The studio also emphasized the role of early access in this process: community feedback should guide adjustments while the game remains in development.Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead Interactive, also mentioned the possibility of servers known as “primitive” servers. On them, players would not be able to use powerful hardware setups to gain an advantage during matches. The third season is therefore expected to focus on fixing the current problems and establishing a new phase for Wardogs. The early access release date and the detailed schedule for the changes have not yet been announced in the published material. With information from IGN Brasil.
