Insomniac Games has confirmed that Marvel's Wolverine does not use AI-generated assets. The statement came after restroom signs featuring distorted figures drew players' attention on social media. The issue gained traction after SmoothMango posted a video on TikTok showing two signs in the game. The images featured seemingly merged silhouettes and were compared to elements created by generative AI, fueling concerns among fans of the PlayStation 5 exclusive.James Stevenson, Insomniac's director of community and marketing, responded to the images shared on X. According to him, the unusual signs are the result of a UV map bug, and the studio is already working on a fix to prevent similar visual issues.Stevenson was unequivocal in addressing the suspicion: Marvel's Wolverine contains no AI-generated assets. A release date for the update that fixes the bug has not yet been announced. The issue comes just days after the game's September 15 release. Before that, another topic discussed by the community involved Logan's scent trails, which some players nicknamed "fart gas." Insomniac released a small fix and said it would explore adding an option to disable the tracking feature.Marvel's Wolverine has also faced criticism over its linear story, although it appears to have had a strong start in sales.
