The prologue to the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave manga is now available in English on the Nintendo Today! app. Chapter 0 can be read for free, but a Nintendo Account is required to access it.

It has not yet been confirmed whether the manga will closely follow the events of the game or whether the upcoming chapters will also be translated into English.

The series was announced during the latest Japanese Direct dedicated to Fortune’s Weave, and its prologue was published in the October 2026 issue of Shueisha’s Japanese magazine Saikyo Jump on September 4. The story is also available on the Shonen Jump+ app.

The adaptation is written by Kazurou Kyou, who worked on the Fire Emblem Engage manga, with art by Konnichi Warou, who posts work-in-progress panels and commemorative illustrations on X. The Engage-based series has been running in Japan for around three years and received its final volume in early August 2026. So far, it has not received an official English localization.

The key art brings together the four heroes, the protagonist and other characters who will appear in the new game.

Nintendo has not yet revealed details about the new manga’s story. Fortune’s Weave is set in the Dagdan Empire, a prosperous land ruled by the gods. In the capital city of Dagsion, warriors from various regions compete in the Heroic Games, a tournament whose winner is granted a wish.

Five years after the Games, the empire faces the threat of the resurrected demon god Balor. Four heroes connected to the event have disappeared, and the progenitor goddess Sothis tasks a soul with saving the world. That soul is the player.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was released exclusively for the Switch 2 on September 17, 2026.
