House House's co-op game reaches 1 million copies sold in seven days, despite being available on PlayStation Plus.

Big Walk sold 1 million copies just one week after launch, according to an announcement from its publisher. The result puts the new game from Australian studio House House ahead of Untitled Goose Game's pace, which took three months to reach the same milestone.

The performance is even more notable because Big Walk is part of PlayStation Plus' monthly selection of “free” games. In practice, some players on the console can play it without purchasing a separate copy. The title is also available on Nintendo Switch 2.

The co-op game surpassed 1 million copies in seven days. For House House, that is a much faster start than its previous hit, which put players in control of a goose in a small village.

Big Walk is an open-world puzzle game designed exclusively for co-op play. It does not offer matchmaking, requiring players to make their own arrangements to explore its world together. The concept arrives at a time of strong interest in cooperative experiences that offer greater freedom to explore.

Among other 2026 indie games, Meccha Chameleon sold 1 million copies in four days on PC. Mewgenics reached the same figure in eight days, also as a PC exclusive. Mina the Hollower, meanwhile, took 11 days to sell 500,000 units across the major platforms.

Big Walk was well received and offers a relaxing experience: there are no monsters, scares, deaths or fail states. Small mishaps along the way are part of the game's lighthearted tone.
