Arc System Works has announced a native PS5 version of BlazBlue: Central Fiction. Originally released in 2015, the fighting game will receive updates requested by the community, but it does not yet have a release date for the console.

Confirmed additions include rollback netcode and cross-play with the PC version, as well as four new languages for the game’s text. The developer is also working on improvements to several training modes. It has not yet said which languages will be added or what will change in each mode.

The announcement comes as Arc System Works prepares another addition to Central Fiction: Trinity Glassfille is coming to the PS4 version, though her release date has not been confirmed. The company has not said whether the PS5 version’s launch is tied to her arrival, so the two releases should not be assumed to share a timetable.

For players who already own the game on PS4, one question remains. A post on Arc System Works’ North American social media accounts suggests they may be able to get the PS5 version at no extra cost, but the company has not formally confirmed how the upgrade will work. More details will be announced later.

Central Fiction is getting a native PS5 version, with rollback-enabled matches between console and PC players. A release date and upgrade terms for PS4 owners have yet to be announced.
