Arc Raiders and The Finals are being adapted for film and television. Nexon, the parent company of Embark Studios, has partnered with Chernin Entertainment to develop projects based on the two franchises. The teams are still considering which format to pursue, with films and TV series among the possibilities. The goal is to expand the games' universes and explore new stories within worlds that, according to Nexon, “reward players' passion.”David Ready, president of Chernin Entertainment's film division, said the two titles fit the profile of global intellectual properties the production company is looking for.“ARC Raiders and The Finals are exactly the kind of opportunity we have been preparing for at Chernin Entertainment: ambitious global intellectual properties with the potential to become major film and television franchises.”- David ReadyEmbark Studios will work directly with Chernin Entertainment throughout development. The studio says the collaboration will aim to respect the universes and the lore that have helped the games win over their fans. For now, there are no details about the cast, format, story or distribution platforms. No release dates have been announced either, indicating that the projects are still in the early stages and could take years to reach audiences. The news comes as Embark continues to support Arc Raiders. The game was one of 2025's biggest launches, but has lost momentum in recent months due to a lack of regular updates with meaningful content. Later this month, the studio plans to test a PvE mode offering a more cooperative experience without the possibility of other players eliminating participants.Embark has not yet confirmed whether the PvE mode will be permanent, as that decision will depend on the players' demand. The film and television projects based on Arc Raiders and The Finals remain without release dates or further details.
