Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Synopsis
Like its predecessor, this title features a story beyond regular fights in a 3D arena format - similar to the Naruto Storm franchise. During the demo, we didn't have access to the campaign mode, but we know that it will portray the events of the Entertainment District arc.
Gameplay
The gameplay is another similar point to the previous game, the structure is still the same: a battle in pairs, where it’s possible to switch to the second character, or just call them to offer some kind of support. There are no major changes regarding dodges, commands and the Ultimate.
The sequel stands out for its greater polish of commands, fluid animations marked my experience. We do not know how the title will perform on last-gen consoles and PCs with the minimum requirements, but the gameplay on the PlayStation 5 is delightful.

Graphics and Visual Aspects
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 offers incredible graphics for an arena fighting game. It's surprising that this title will be released for the last generation. The skills are full of colors and effects, which gives us a greater sense of immersion in the anime universe, and even with all that, I didn't experience any frame drops.
It's worth noting that most of the skills, including the Ultimate Arts, reproduce scenes from the anime with animations and lines. Fidelity to the original product always generates debate and, in this case, it’ll be a strong positive point.

Difficulty: An Issue
When I played against the CPU, I found what is my only point of concern: the difficulty. Even though this genre’s been familiar to me for a good part of my childhood and teenage years, it’s been years since I played something like it frequently, and even so, I was surprised by how easy it was to defeat the CPU.
There are five difficulties: Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard and Very Hard. I expected to have fair fights in normal mode, given the context explained in the previous paragraph, but I was surprised to defeat my opponents with complete ease. So, I increased the level and played in Hard mode, lost the first battle, but after that, I had an unbeaten streak of four matches.

I really didn't expect easy fights, even after years off. I believe that the biggest fans, who play regularly, won't find many challenges against the CPU. I deeply hope that the campaign mode won't be marked by this.
Everything to be a success
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles was considered a good title when it was released, but its sequel has everything it needs to surpass this metric and be remembered as excellent. Of course, we didn't have access to the story mode, nor to all the characters and arenas, but from what we were shown, the game’s almost perfect.
Beautiful animations, references to the anime and fluid and fun gameplay are the highlights of the game. I'm sure that Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 will deliver hours of fun.
