The Witcher 3 set a new all-time record for concurrent players on Steam following the release of its remaster. CD Projekt's RPG reached a peak of 123,359 users online at the same time, comfortably surpassing its previous record.

That figure represents a significant jump from the peak recorded in August, which had just passed 30,000 players. The surge suggests that the new version brought many fans back to the Continent, even though the original game was released more than a decade ago.

The remaster is free for anyone who already owns the base version of The Witcher 3. The chance to return to the RPG at no additional cost, combined with the new edition's improvements, helped reignite interest in the game among longtime players and may also have attracted those who had yet to begin Geralt's adventure.
