Rockstar will release Grand Theft Auto 6 at midnight local time on November 19 in most countries. As a result, players in New Zealand will be able to start the campaign more than 20 hours before audiences in Brazil and other parts of South America.

The schedule listed on the PlayStation Store includes 15 different release times, beginning in New Zealand at 11 a.m. UTC on November 18, which corresponds to midnight on November 19 in the country. The game will then unlock across time zones in Australia, Japan, India, continental Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In the United States, the entire country will gain access at midnight Eastern Time. That means players on the West Coast will be able to play several hours before midnight in their local time zone.

GTA 6 preloading will be available from November 12 for players who pre-ordered the game. Physical copies, which include a code for a digital download, will also begin shipping on that date. Since the game will only unlock during the release window for each time zone, no discs will be available early to start playing before the official launch time.

Xbox Series X|S players may be able to use the console region-switching method in an attempt to access the game earlier. On PlayStation 5, changing regions does not work. Technically, it would still be possible to play early by using a separate New Zealand account funded with a regional gift card.

GTA 6 will be a single-player-only experience. Rockstar has not yet said how much free storage space will be required to install the game. It is scheduled for release on November 19.
