NetEase recently released the first season of Marvel Rivals. The Hero Shooter, which has been around for over a month, has received a variety of content, such as new Fantastic Four heroes, as well as balancing changes and a new Battle Pass.
Season 1, called “Eternal Night Falls,” will have a bloody theme. And with a longer duration than the previous one, it brought a longer Battle Pass with twice the rewards, but at a higher cost. The deluxe version costs 990 Lattices.
We at UmGamer are playing the new update and working on this article, where the focus will be on diving into the rewards trail, analyzing the best free rewards, including two skins, and the paid ones, to help you decide whether it’s worth buying.

How the Battle Pass works
The progression style of this path is different from the traditional and works in a very similar way to the old Fortnite format, more specifically during part of Chapter 3. The idea is to separate it into sections, you need to acquire a certain amount of Chrono Tokens - the purple currency - to unlock one page at a time, after that, you can buy any reward present there, and to unlock other pages you need higher amounts.
In Fortnite, this model was used with battle stars. See how similar it is to that period in Epic Games' battle royale.
Each daily quest grants 30 Chrono Tokens, and seasonal challenges grant 80. These are the main ways to acquire this resource. You can also purchase it using Lattices, the game's paid currency.
How to Level Up the Battle Pass
There is no way to “level up” when using this track structure. Just complete as many quests as you can to unlock the pages and purchase the items that interest you.
All rewards from this Pass
Initially, we will focus on the most relevant content of the Battle Pass, after which you will see a video with all the rewards to reach your own conclusions.
Top Free Items
Two skins will be awarded to any player who progresses through the track, Blue Tarantula for Peni Parker on page three, and Scarlet Witch’s Emporium Matron upon reaching page nine.
Wanda's costume will be one of the most popular in Marvel Rivals. It's a good style considering it's free, and she's also one of the most played heroines so far. But we can't say the same about Peni Parker’s Blue Tarantula, which is just a recolor of the character.
A curious item is the Darkhold, a collectible item that will be in your inventory after you redeem it. Even though it doesn't have a purpose in itself, it's a good way to remember that you played this first season, as if it were an “achievement”.
Finally, all the cards of the Fantastic Four members are also part of the free rewards, and even though they’re basic, they’re eye-catching because they represent the new characters announced in this first season.
As you progress, you’ll also be able to claim two gallery cards to complete the comics that symbolize the season’s story within the game!

Other than that, we only noticed some coins, sprays and emotes that you will see more calmly at the end of the content.
Top Luxury Items
Here everything becomes more interesting, the deluxe version of the trail offers 8 different looks, each more beautiful than the last. The main and final reward is Wolverine's Blood Berserker outfit.
Some other great examples are All Butcher Loki, available as soon as you buy the luxury pass; Blood Moon Knight, Bounty Hunter Rocket Racoon and King Magnus (Magneto).
Blood Edge Armor for Iron Man and Blood Soul for Adam Warlock were also perfect shots, being quite fitting to the patch’s bloody theme, besides being skins for more popular heroes among the player community.
Finally, Savage Sub-Mariner, Namor's skin, is not lacking in quality, but it strays from the expected theme.
Other cosmetics relevant to the trail are the MVP animations and emotes, but since they’re videos, I will leave them for the end of the article.
Is the Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass worth buying?
As long as you like the “blood knights” theme, that is, you’re a fan of the heroes who received paid skins, we believe that the Battle Pass delivers quality in what it offers; the difference in work between the free and premium skins is incomparable.
In our analysis, Loki, Wolverine and Rocket Racoon players were the most privileged due to the innovation and detail present in their MVP costumes and animations.
The luxury version also “pays for itself in parts”, which is another positive point, as it rewards you with more Trellises, making it easier financially to purchase another pass in the future.
But of course, I always advise you to draw your own conclusions, so we end today's content with the video from the Alfaro channel, showing all the rewards and animations available on the trail.
I'm open to any questions or suggestions in the comments. I hope this article has helped you understand more about the Battle Pass!
