In early October, CS2 fans welcomed the addition of the Armory Pass. Today, you’ll see all the new features that arrived at this event, and understand how the Armory Pass progress works. Check it out!
What is the Armory Pass
It’s a way of collecting armory credits to exchange for a random item from a set, similar to opening a box, and it’s also possible to purchase Gallery Cases or the star of the pass, the exclusive skin Desert Eagle | Heat Treated
In total, we have two sets of charms, two sets of stickers and three sets of weapons.

You need to buy a pass to get these credits, it’s on sale for 16 dollars and each pass offers a total of 40 armory credits, you will receive the first one instantly when purchasing the product.
We have space for up to five passes simultaneously, progressing through them at the same time, optimizing your farm. After completing one, reaching the 40th Coin, you open a new space in these five to buy another.
In this example, there are two tracks in progress:
How to progress in the Armory Pass
Just play, according to Key Drop, you need 300 XP to level up the pass once, so play normally and you'll see your progress happening.
However, the community is constantly debating the most efficient way to get this XP, and according to the same site, the best way is to play DeathMatch since they are quick matches where you don't have time to respawn. This way, you will have more opportunities to get kills and earn XP.
I played a few games in this mode, and even though I finished them in the middle of the ranks, my average was between 90 and 100 experience, in addition to the big weekly bonuses. At this rate, you will gain a pass level in around thirty minutes, not counting the bonuses.
Skins and Cosmetics available on the Armory Pass
Now we’ll see all the cosmetics present in this update, and what their costs are in credits.
Desert Eagle | Heat Treated
The limited edition skin is the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated, it requires the payment of 25 armory credits.
Charms
Both charm collections offer a random item belonging to them for 3 credits.
Missing Links Charms
This set features 17 “Sausage Men” charms, check out the options:
Small Arms Charms
Other types of charms are miniature weapons, there are 16 possibilities, three of which are knives:
Weapon Skins
To try your luck with a collection of weapon skins, you need to spend 4 credits.
Overpass 2024
Starting the skin sets with the Overpass 2024 collection, the visuals here are based on the map's iconic graffiti.
Highlight for the AK-47 | B the Monster which has the most rare appearance in this pack.
For me, the Dual Berettas | Sweet Little Angels are also beautiful, and will probably be easier to find due to their lesser rarity.
Graphic Collection
A good pack for fans of white inventory with hints of purple or pink.

The AWP | CMYK is the main attraction of the set, but another highlight goes to P90 | Attack Vector, a look that should be easier to achieve.
Sport & Field Collection
If you like metallic skins, this will be the best Armory Pass collection. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s the most sought after armory by players.
The lucky ones will have in their inventory what many consider the most beautiful look of the update, the M4A1-S | Fade.
Another good presence is for the T-side, Galil Ar | Rainbow Spoon.
Moving away from the metallic theme, we still have good additions for blue inventories, such as USP-S | Alpine Camo and the Glock-18 | AXIA.
Stickers
If you have one last credit left, stickers are an option, since they only cost one.
Elemental Craft Stickers
Characters Craft Stickers
Gallery Case
Lastly, the Gallery Case is an option for 2 credits, you can get it to sell, or open it if you have a key.
It offers the following items:
Is it worth buying the Armory Pass?
This is a delicate answer, unfortunately everything will depend on luck, you can make 10 attempts at a weapon collection and get only extremely basic looks, which is actually the likely scenario, or get an M4A1-S | Fade right away.
The limited Desert Eagle can cause a certain feeling of security, but even here it’ll be necessary to rely on randomness, given that you can get a good Tier 1 pattern, in addition to low wear, generating a Blue Gen weapon, which is sure to sell for hundreds, or thousands, of dollars.
This skin itself also has some possibilities of coming with a purple or gold hue, which should also boost its value. But we know that we usually get a common version.
Apparently, the safest choice is to look for Gallery Cases, their cost starts at 3.99 dollars, and they have high liquidity.
With a single pass, you can buy 20 of these products, and selling them for this unitary price will get you a big profit.

However, the cases tend to decrease in value as the days go by, in-depth market research is necessary to see if it's really worth it or not, mainly due to Steam's new sales system, which requires your item to be with you for at least a week.
I will not present any opinion on the market trends for the update items, again I emphasize that it’s up to you to carry out a lot of research to reach your verdict.
If you are confident about the skin drops, and have money to spare, the Pass may be worth it, for me, in particular, I loved the Overpass 2024 and Sport & Field collections.
Conclusion
I hope this article has helped you understand the Armory Pass. I'll be in the comments for questions and suggestions.
