Last Tuesday (9) brought Season 20 to Overwatch 2. The latest update to the Hero Shooter brought a Christmas event, with limited-time game modes, including a brand new one, as well as new skins and the launch of Vendetta.link outside website

Today, the focus will be on analyzing the main cosmetic items of the Christmas Season! See if it's worth acquiring the premium version of the reward track and the coziest skins of the year!

All the rewards from the Season 20 Battle Pass

As with other Seasons this year, the Battle Pass has 80 tiers – 28 of which are free – and all of them offer at least one reward. After reaching the end of the track, prestige rewards are unlocked for free, with 8 exclusive titles available between levels 85 and 200.

During the Pass presentation, you'll see all the skins and some of the main free items of the season. Following that, we'll also provide a video summarizing all the rewards—ideal for analyzing the details and forming your own opinion.

Next, we'll cover the Mythic Skins and the Cozy Bundle that arrived this season. Check it out!

Free Items

The free version of the track guarantees various rewards, including two epic skins, 600 Overwatch Coins, 1500 Credits, and the 8 titles present in the prestige sector.

The track as a whole focuses primarily on winter, with its two free skins addressing the ice theme.

They’re very nicely detailed for epic skins. Especially Tracer's, which features some effects on her outfit and ice shards on her arms.

Besides that, there were few references to the theme in the free track; it seemed to lack a central focus – apart from the visuals. The few cosmetic items that allude to the season are the Eye-Cy Arcade Spray, the Sled emote for Venture, and some voice lines.

Premium Items

The latest seasons have added five Legendary and one Epic skin to the premium track, and the pattern repeats here. In addition, everyone who purchases this version will also receive extra Credits, more Legendary Loot Boxes, and new cosmetics, not to mention the free items already mentioned.

It's also worth mentioning that 80 Mythic Prisms are part of this track. Prisms are the special currency used to unlock Mythic weapon and hero skins. In the next section, we'll see what the skins are for this Season! For now, we'll analyze the skins present in the premium track itself.

Christmas, obviously, evokes a winter period – with snow and ice decorations. This theme is shown in practically all the skins, from the epic for Illari to the legendary ones for Genji, Soldier: 76, Reaper, and Freja.

They all look excellent, and since they aren't a single cosmetic line, each offers its own style. Some are more focused on ice and others on winter attire.

The only skin that deviates slightly from this theme is Venture Celestial, a legendary skin unlocked at tier 20. It's quite specific; only one hero received a style that doesn't match Christmas. However, if you like this style and play Venture, it's a good choice.

All the visuals are pleasing. Aside from the last one mentioned, the focus on Winter is clear. I don't believe it's the most eye-catching track of the year; the Halloween Battle Pass was of extremely higher quality. Still, it's pretty cool for those looking for a new style for Christmas!

There are other types of cosmetics included in the pass. You can analyze them calmly in the video, available on the Sennti YouTube channel below.

Ultimate Battle Pass

The premium pass can be purchased for 1,000 Overwatch Coins. However, there's an even more exclusive option for fans who can afford to invest more money in the Hero Shooter: the Ultimate Pack. For $39.99 (an increase compared to the last season), you'll not only have access to the paid track of the pass, but you'll also receive 2,000 Overwatch Coins, 20 Tier Skips on the track, and – most importantly – two exclusive skins.

This season, the cosmetics are Reindeer Tracer and High Society Vendetta. They are popular characters for different reasons; one is an Overwatch icon, while Vendetta is the game's new hero. Therefore, we can say it was a great move by Blizzard.

Tracer's skin, while fitting for the event, didn't attract much attention and perhaps didn't make sense for such an exclusive bundle as the Ultimate. Vendetta's skin, on the other hand, is striking and maintains the developer's high quality, and is also the Italian’s first cosmetic skin.

Mythic Skins

Any Premium edition of the Battle Pass, provided you complete it, will grant 80 Mythic Prisms – these are used to acquire Mythic skins, either for heroes or weapons.

Each season, Overwatch 2 receives at least one Mythic Prism skin for a hero and one for a weapon. They cost 50 Mythic Prisms to unlock at stage one; to evolve them – adding more effects and details – you need to spend 10 Prisms per level, reaching a total of 80 – exactly the amount received in the track.

On this occasion, the two styles are Divine Desperado for Cassidy, and Capsule Cannon for Orisa's weapon.

Because they’re mythical skins, they possess unique abilities and effects, unlike any other skin:

The video illustrating the Capsule Cannon's effects was taken from the SKLLZ YouTube channel.

Cassidy isn't a hero with much room for changes to his effects and abilities, since his main tools are his shots. Therefore, I highlight Orisa's cosmetic; Capsule Cannon is slightly ahead.

Cozy Bundle

Finally, another set of skins is available in Overwatch 2. The Cozy Bundle is the main line for lovers of the Christmas spirit! It's available for 5900, a much more affordable price compared to buying the bundles separately.

The prestigious heroes featured in this bundle are: Ashe, Mauga, Wuyang, Juno, and Bastion. The bundle also includes several other cosmetic items for some of these characters.

For me, this was the biggest success of the season. The skins are much more attractive than Reindeer Tracer's, and you can buy them individually, unlike the one provided in the Ultimate bundle.

The Christmas outfits are already pleasing due to their high quality, but the highest praise goes to the work done on Bastion and B.O.B. (Ashe's Ultimate). Dressing them up as a snowman and a cookie, respectively, was an excellent idea and strayed from the traditional concept of simply changing the characters' clothes.

The emotes, sprays, and intros belonging to the set also perfectly reflect the Christmas theme. The track skins are great and stay true to the theme, but it's a fact that the Cozy line is the main one for those who want a greater immersion in the holiday.

Conclusion

The Battle Pass respects the winter theme well and brings beautiful skins, focused on ice and cold-weather clothing. Although it doesn't have the same overwhelming visual impact as the previous Halloween track, the overall quality remains solid. For the affordable price and the number of items, I recommend it for those who want to get into the Christmas spirit.

The Ultimate version, with its price increase to $39.99, becomes a difficult investment to justify for everyone. Vendetta's skin is excellent, but Tracer's skin might not be what you're looking for in such an exclusive package. I only recommend it for those who have a stable financial situation and insist on collecting the first legendary skin of the new heroine.

As for the Mythic items, Orisa's weapon has a visual advantage over Cassidy's skin, given the limitations of the cowboy's effects. If you play with either of them and will accumulate the Prisms from the pass, choose the one you’ll use most in matches, and you’ll be satisfied.

Finally, the Cozy collection steals the show and is the highlight of the season in terms of immersion, surpassing the Pass items in terms of Christmas theme. The complete bundle offers a good discount, but since the coin value is high, it might be more worthwhile to buy one or two skins separately, unless you actually play with at least two or three of the heroes included in the set, in which case the bundle will definitely be worth buying!

I hope you enjoyed this review. I’m available if you have any questions or suggestions.
