RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch on Xbox Game Pass on September 15, the same day the game leaves early access and receives its Version 1.0 update. Jagex confirmed that it will be available through the service on launch day.

The title has been available in early access on PC for a year, but the company considers the arrival of Version 1.0 to be its official release. As a result, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play at no additional cost as part of their subscription when the update goes live.

The game offers a very different experience from classic RuneScape, which many players know from its browser version with point-and-click controls. RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a cooperative open-world survival adventure focused on resource gathering, building, skill progression and gear crafting.

The journey takes place in Ashenfall, a forgotten continent in the RuneScape universe where dragons have awakened. To face the Dragon Queen, players will need to master the survival systems and uncover ancient secrets scattered throughout the region.

During its early access period, RuneScape: Dragonwilds was played by more than one million people, according to Jagex. On Steam, the game has received “Very Positive” reviews.

The confirmation of the Xbox Game Pass version sets Dragonwilds’ arrival in the Xbox ecosystem for September, alongside the Version 1.0 release. Jagex has not yet detailed which subscription tiers will have access to the game.
