Bandai Namco has released a new story trailer for Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, the version set to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026.

The video follows the journey through the Lands Between and revisits the path to the Elden Throne. It also includes scenes from Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion that will be included as standard in this edition.

The footage shows Elden Ring running on Nintendo's new console ahead of its release. The Switch 2 version had previously been the subject of reports of performance issues during hands-on test sessions, but the latest material points to visuals better optimized for the platform.

Even so, final performance can only be assessed once Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is available. Its arrival on Switch 2 offers a new way to explore the Lands Between on a Nintendo platform.

At retail, the game will be sold in Game-Key Card format. Pre-orders will also grant access to two additional in-game gestures.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition brings together the base game and Shadow of the Erdtree, allowing players who have yet to begin the adventure to start with the expanded content included. For those already familiar with the journey, the edition offers the chance to revisit bosses, regions and character builds on Switch 2.

The game is set to launch on August 28, 2026.
