Blizzard has announced that an animated Diablo series is in development at Netflix. The reveal came during BlizzCon 2026, though no details have been released yet on a premiere date, cast, story or episode format.Blizzard president Johanna Faries introduced the news to the audience and said the production will be set in the Diablo universe. The executive also said she is a player of the franchise and is excited to watch the project take shape, especially because she enjoys the dark atmosphere of Sanctuary.The announcement also included a tease about future series based on other Blizzard properties. Faries mentioned the Overwatch and Warcraft communities while saying that discussions are underway for possible projects tied to those universes.The president, however, did not reveal which productions have been confirmed beyond the Diablo animation.
