Building Void Offlaner
In today's article, we’ll discuss how to play Void as an Offlaner, getting the most out of his Time Zone.
Facet and Skills

Time Walk
With this skill, Void can move in a chosen direction while rewinding all damage caused to him in the last 2 seconds.

Time Dilation
Applies a debuff to nearby enemies, extending the cooldown of their abilities and slowing them down at a rate based on each extended cooldown. On top of that, enemies affected by this skill will take extra damage per second for each cooldown.
Time Lock
Makes sure that Void's attacks have a chance to deal an extra attack that stuns enemies, dealing bonus damage.
Time Zone
The facet that also gives Void's ultimate its name. Time Zone replaces Chronosphere with this facet and can create a square area at the chosen point that changes the movement, attack, turn, and even projectile speeds of all units within the Time Zone. Allies will be buffed, gaining bonus speed, and enemies will receive a debuff, becoming slower.
This skill is the core of this build and what makes Void an Offlaner capable of starting fights in the best possible way, hindering enemies while buffing his allies (the Time Zone doesn’t freeze allies like the Chronosphere). Even enemies that attack from outside the Time Zone will have their projectiles slowed down inside it.
If combined correctly with the rest of the team, this skill can be a great weapon in the match.

Distortion Field
Void's innate ability, which grants him an aura in a radius that slows projectiles.
Items and Talents

Early Game
In the early game, you should focus as much as possible on farming and closing your basic items. Magic Wand is always very useful in the lane, Power Treads and Maelstrom to be able to farm faster.
Essential Items
As an Offlaner, Void needs ways to survive in the lane while also needing offensive capacity against enemies. Vanguard is a good item in this situation, as it’s not only one of the best items for heroes who act on the front lines, but it’s also a requirement to acquire Heaven’s Halberd or Crimson Guard, two items that are extremely useful, depending on the situation you find yourself in.

Halberd is one of the best items to deal with the enemy carry or any hero who causes a lot of impact in physical combat. Crimson Guard may be necessary in situations where the entire team needs extra protection against damage and when it’s more advantageous, such as, for example, when your team has the advantage and wants to invade the enemy base or when you’re ambushing together and starting combat all the time.
Late Game
Sange and Yasha is also very useful, giving Void important stats, such as attack speed, movement and status resistance, on top of amplified health regeneration. Mjollnir is great with this hero, Octarine will allow you to continue using Time Dilation to affect enemies and BKB is indispensable to be able to start fights safely.Situational Items
If the game is a bit more on the calm side, you can opt for Manta Style instead of Sange and Yasha. Linken’s Sphere will always be the best dispel option against problematic abilities and can even be used together with the BKB.
Orchid Malevolence is a great item to start on heroes with a lot of escape or abilities that can disable you, and also provides excellent combat stats. Shadow Blade can be necessary if you need Silver Edge in the game and brings several benefits.Shiva’s Guard is another interesting item, which can be very well used together with the ultimate, providing an explosive combat start for the hero.Talents and Neutrals

The skill tree also gives some benefits, such as more firepower for Time Dilation and greater potential with Time Zone. As for neutrals, the ideal is to focus on skills that add to yours and items that can further improve your combat power.
One of the best neutral items is the Searing Signet, which combined with Maelstrom and Time Dilation is an excellent tool for aggroing enemies.
Final Considerations
Void Offlaner may seem absurd, but it’s a very real build and it’s already being widely used in the current meta. The hero lost some space with the recent patch in his original role, but the work done with the Time Zone facet allows for new ways to explore this hero. If you haven't tested Void as a starter yet, then now is the time.
