Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is an announced single-player survival-horror game from Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games, built around the Hellraiser mythology created by Clive Barker. Rather than adapting the 1987 film scene for scene, the game introduces Aidan, a protagonist trying to save his girlfriend, Sunny, after she is taken into the labyrinthine realm associated with the Cenobites. His route into that nightmare begins with the Genesis Configuration, a puzzle box created specifically for the game and presented as a gateway to horrors beyond ordinary reality.

Publicly released material describes first-person play that combines exploration, puzzle solving, stealth, and combat. Aidan can use the Genesis Configuration both to manipulate the environment and to confront enemies, while conventional weapons also form part of his effort to survive. The announced enemies include Cenobites and other denizens of Hell, so the premise is not merely escape: Aidan is portrayed as descending further into their domain in pursuit of Sunny. Saber has emphasized the escalating transformation of his situation from a personal rescue into a struggle against the forces unleashed by the box.

The project’s most notable connection to the original film series is Doug Bradley’s return as Pinhead. Bradley played the character in the first eight Hellraiser films, beginning with Barker’s 1987 directorial debut, and the announcement identifies Revival as his first time reprising Pinhead in a video game. Barker contributed to the game’s story and has said he was pleased that the developers were exploring a new story within the franchise’s dark, sensual, and terrifying universe. Boss Team Games has also stated that its team worked with Barker to ensure the game reflected the property’s spirit.

Revival was announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Its reveal materials frame the game as an original narrative rather than a remake or continuation of a previous Hellraiser game. The title therefore centers on Aidan and Sunny’s crisis, the Genesis Configuration, and a new visit to Hell, while retaining recognizable franchise elements—especially Pinhead, the Cenobites, flesh-and-chain imagery, and the peril of opening a box whose promises are inseparable from pain.

At announcement, no detailed account of every location, supporting character, or ending had been made public. What is confirmed is a first-person Hellraiser story in which the puzzle box is central to both Aidan’s abilities and the danger drawing him toward Pinhead’s realm and the Cenobites beyond it in Hell.
