Naughty Dog will remain tight-lipped about Intergalactic: The Heretic Project until the final months of 2026, but the wait has an end date. Neil Druckmann, the studio's head, said the sci-fi game will be fully unveiled in 2027, with a dedicated presentation focused on Jordan's adventure.The confirmation came in a post on Naughty Dog's official blog published as The Last of Us Day drew to a close. Druckmann said the studio plans to offer a complete look at Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the name he used when discussing the reveal, and described the project as the most ambitious in Naughty Dog's history.The executive also asked fans to be patient. His statement comes after Intergalactic was absent from Sony's most recent State of Play, disappointing some members of the audience. According to Druckmann, the team still needs more time to prepare the game before showing it in detail."There is an electricity in the studio as all the pieces fall into place, and we can't wait to finally reveal Intergalactic in all its glory," Druckmann said. He added that the team is working to create something worthy of the players' wait.Naughty Dog also confirmed that it has two The Last of Us projects in the early stages of development. Druckmann did not clarify whether the projects are games, but said both will expand the series' canon beyond Part I and Part II. According to him, the studio would only return to this universe if it had meaningful stories to tell.In the same message, Druckmann thanked fans for raising more than US$ 11 thousand for AbleGamers. Meanwhile, HBO's television adaptation of The Last of Us is expected to end with its third season.
