How the Diablo IV Battle Pass works
The Diablo IV Season Pass works in a very similar way to other titles, the idea is to acquire a specific resource to progress along the track to collect new rewards. At some levels, the respective item is free.
It’s also possible to purchase one level progress for 200 Platinum.
How to level up the Battle Pass
Here we see a peculiarity, gathering experience to complete the pass is not the only thing needed, you need to receive Favor. The main way to receive this resource is by completing the Season Journey missions.
In the image below, you can see that each task comes with a reward called Small Favor, that is, they provide small progress on the trail. They are separated by chapter, and each one offers extra rewards, including a higher amount of Favor, when reaching a specific number of completed objectives, see the “Chapter Rewards” section.
In later chapters, you'll see an increase in earning this resource, from quests that don't just grant a Small Favor, to the chapter itself rewarding an Epic Favor.
All rewards from this pass
Keeping up the same standards as on other occasions, the pass maintains 90 levels, of which 28 offer free rewards. We’ll highlight the main items granted, after which we’ll make available a video with all the rewards for you to draw your own conclusions.
Free items
Among the free unlockable rewards are: 20 smoldering ashes, 6 basic outfits, 5 weapon transmogs, 1 Mount Trophy, 1 Title (prefix and suffix) and 1 Town Portal.
Smoldering ash is a way to enhance your character, here's how:
In addition to reaching a specific level on the trail, to release them you must also reach a specific character level, to prevent players who buy trail advancements from becoming stronger than you.
We highlight three of the five pieces of armor, starting with the Black Masquerade Regalia breastplate, available upon reaching level 2.
The gloves and helmets were also extremely well-made, above average if compared to other free cosmetics.
The Black Masquerade reward line really lives up to the season's theme and deserves our attention, all five weapons in this style look incredible. The weapons that received this style are: Crossbow (Rogue), Focus (Sorcerer and Necromancer), Totem (Druid), Mace (Sorcerer, Druid, Barbarian and Necromancer) and Two-handed Mace (Druid, Barbarian and Necromancer). Check all of them out:

They all feature skulls, hearts and other details that refer to witchcraft, and are certainly a motivation for you to progress along the trail. Another cosmetic that is also in this regard is the Reliquary of Decadence Mount Trophy, unlocked at level 45.
The Town Portal is one of the few lowest points on the pass, on other occasions we were introduced to more interesting free portals.
Premium Items
In addition to those already mentioned, the premium track offers 10 armor transmogs (2 armor sets per class), 14 weapon transmogs (totaling 19 with the five free ones), 4 headstones, 5 emotes (1 per class), 2 mounts, 2 mount armors, 5 mount trophies, 2 titles (2 prefixes and suffixes), 700 platinum (distributed among 11 degrees of reward), 2 Town Portals and 3 emblems.
Activating the premium pass costs 1000 Platinum, approximately 9.99 USD. But, since we get 700 Platinum from it, you’ll have a discount when purchasing the next pass for another Season, as you’ll only need 300 more Platinum.
Regarding cosmetics, starting with the mounts, the one that caught the most attention is the Nightwinder, the final reward of the pass, where your horse is covered with some reptile aspects, such as scales. It also comes with armor to equip.
Both sets of armor are well crafted, but our analysis highlights the Grand High Witch, which brings a darker look, matching the update, along with her Medusa-style helmet.
As for weapons, we’re interested in the two lines produced by Blizzard. Grand High Witch maintains the style already mentioned above, while the Exalted Witch cosmetics, despite not surpassing the other set in terms of clothing, manage to generate a lot of attention with the equipment, emphasizing skulls and snakes. See an example of each:
Most of the weapon cosmetics are from the Exalted Witch theme, so being satisfied with this theme is fundamental to your decision whether to purchase the Premium Battle Pass. Because in addition to having a large amount of equipment, this line also includes a set of armor, and although it’s not in our highlights, which you can check out in the video we made available after the next topic, and also a Mount Trophy.

The Town Portals on the paid trail are unfortunately not part of the same style of cosmetics, Path of Forked Tongues is the most beautiful of them, but its reddish aura makes me feel more like Season of the Infernal Hordes than actually in the Witchcraft one. For me, a negative point compared to other updates.
Now, check out the overview with all the rewards available this season!:
Accelerated Battle Pass
There are two possibilities to purchase the premium pass, the 1000 Platinum already mentioned, and the Accelerated one which costs 2800 Platinum (24.99 USD). In this case, you will have two extra benefits: 20 Jumps (levels) already unlocked just by activating the pass, and the “Magic of Mushrooms” emote.
So, this is an option for everyone, from more casual players who don't have as much time to complete the trail quickly, needing these 20 additional levels, to the most avid fans looking for more exclusive items, which is the case with the emote.
Is the Season of Witchcraft Battle Pass worth buying?
I don't believe this is the best track since the game's release. The theme is fascinating, and Blizzard even managed to do justice to it, but it doesn't border on perfection like in Infernal Hordes, especially if we analyze the Town Portals.
Still, it's a great option for you to purchase in the game and keep your inventory full of quality cosmetics at an affordable price. The trail offers above-average rewards. I recommend it mainly to those who liked the Exalted Witch line and the Grand High Witch armor.
I’m available to answer any questions or suggestions in the comments.
