Sony Interactive Entertainment announced on Monday (31) that the next State of Play will take place on September 3, with two back-to-back broadcasts. The first, a traditional State of Play, will feature updates and announcements from first-party studios and third-party partners, concluding with an extended presentation of Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Revelation. It will be followed immediately by a special edition of State of Play Japan, hosted by Yuki Kaji and focused on games from Japanese and Asian studios.The broadcasts begin at 6 a.m. Pacific Time / 9 a.m. Eastern Time / 3 p.m. Central European Time / 10 p.m. Japan Time on PlayStation's official YouTube and Twitch channels. The main State of Play will be broadcast in English, with Japanese subtitles available. State of Play Japan will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles.The announcement did not reveal which games will be shown beyond Final Fantasy VII Revelation or how long each broadcast will run. Sony said State of Play Japan will offer "in-depth looks" at games in development in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay footage and announcements.
