Cold Iron Studios has released Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, the sequel to the 2021 game. The new title allows teams of up to four players, addressing one of the community's requests. It arrives nearly five years after the original, which was released on August 24, with just one day separating the two dates.

Expanding the co-op mode required changes to combat balance. The goal now is to create challenges featuring smarter, more varied enemies, reducing the reliance on overwhelming numbers or opponents that can absorb heavy gunfire. The artificial intelligence improvements were also designed to keep pace with a full team's firepower.

Enemy spawn points are now randomized. On more open maps, this prevents players from exploiting fixed positions to eliminate Xenomorphs as soon as they appear.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 retains its class system and uses synergies to encourage varied teams. The Specialist class can be customized with abilities unlocked through the other classes. The roster also includes Hunter, Duelist, Machinist, Marauder and Medic, each offering a distinct playstyle.

All classes now carry a shock baton for close-quarters combat. The weapon is useful against weaker, more numerous enemies, giving players more options for dealing with groups at close range.

Factions now have specific weaknesses, encouraging players to choose the right equipment for each mission. A single map may feature more than one faction, requiring players to adapt during a match.

The game also launches with maps designed specifically for Horde mode. On these maps, enemies rotate between different factions rather than always belonging to the same group. On Steam, the standard edition costs R$ 274,99, while the Premium edition is priced at R$ 384,98.
