Silent Hill: Townfall is an upcoming psychological horror game developed by No Code and published by Annapurna Interactive in collaboration with Konami.

Silent Hill Townfall is a separately developed project within Konami's revived Silent Hill lineup. It was announced during the October 2022 Silent Hill Transmission, which introduced several new projects rather than presenting Townfall as a remake of an existing game.

Townfall is being developed by No Code, a Glasgow-based studio previously known for Stories Untold and Observation. Those games established No Code's reputation for narrative-focused horror and science-fiction experiences built around exploration, environmental clues, and unreliable or fragmented information delivery.

Konami's announcement described Townfall as a new story in the franchise, not a direct adaptation of the first Silent Hill. No official synopsis has established the protagonist's name, the setting's precise location, or the events that bring the character there.

The reveal included a live-action teaser rather than gameplay. It showed a man in a sparse room speaking about violence and guilt. The footage used red imagery but did not identify the speaker or explain his relationship to Silent Hill.

Konami's announcement also identified Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto and connected the game to director and writer Jon McKellan of No Code directly. The project was announced with Annapurna Interactive as publisher, although changes in Annapurna Interactive's publishing operations have made the project's current publishing arrangements less clear than they were at reveal.

That lack of detail is significant because the teaser supports multiple interpretations, while none has been confirmed by Konami or No Code. Descriptions of monsters, combat systems, and puzzle structure therefore remain speculation, not announced features of Townfall itself.

The project was announced with a broader creative partnership involving Bad Robot, the production company founded by filmmaker J.J. Abrams. That announcement positioned Townfall as one part of an expanding multimedia effort, but it did not disclose a crossover plot.

Publicly released material also does not confirm platforms, a release date, or a complete gameplay demonstration. Although September 24, 2026 has been supplied as the game's proposed date here, that date should not be presented as official fact without corroboration.

Townfall's confirmed connection to Silent Hill is consequently its franchise framework and Konami's involvement, not a published account of a particular character or episode. The title itself echoes the series setting, yet the developers have withheld the central premise publicly.

What can be stated responsibly is narrower than many online summaries suggest. Townfall has a named developer, publisher relationships, producer, and teaser, but no verified plot synopsis or gameplay outline. Until the creators release more material, claims beyond those facts remain unconfirmed.
