PEAK is a cooperative climbing video game made by Landcrab, the development partnership of Aggro Crab and Landfall. Aggro Crab published it for Windows on June 16, 2025. Its premise begins after a plane crash leaves a group of nature scouts stranded on an island; reaching the mountain’s summit is their route to rescue and escape. The game supports up to four climbers online, although a player can attempt the ascent alone. The mountain is not a fixed campaign map. PEAK’s island changes with its daily rotation, so a run can present a different route and arrangement of hazards on another day. Players must get from the shore through four biomes before the final climb. Progress is governed by a stamina system: climbing consumes stamina, and falls can end a run or injure a scout. The game makes cooperation practical, since climbers can pull one another up ledges and use equipment to make routes safer. Supplies found during an expedition include ropes and other climbing tools, which let a team establish assistance on difficult surfaces. The island also contains food, including berries and other items that can restore stamina or impose unexpected effects. A player has to manage more than the slope: injuries, hunger, and changing environmental conditions affect the climb. PEAK uses proximity voice chat, making communication dependent on where players are relative to each other on the mountain. The game’s presentation combines a bright, cartoon-like island with a survival challenge whose danger comes from unstable footing, hazards, exhaustion, and the distance below. At campsites, players can pause the climb and prepare before moving on. They may carry items in limited inventory space, forcing choices about what the group takes upward. A dead scout is not necessarily gone from the expedition: the body can become a ghost that may help surviving teammates. This blend of rescue objective, repeating daily mountain, and physical co-op makes PEAK specifically a climbing game rather than a conventional combat adventure. Landcrab united developers known for very different prior games: Aggro Crab made Another Crab’s Treasure and Going Under, while Landfall made Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Content Warning. PEAK was announced and released in 2025, and its Steam description identifies its central challenge plainly: a team must climb a mountain before the island can be left. Its structure therefore turns each expedition into an attempt to coordinate routes, equipment, stamina, and rescues under the threat of a fall.
